| A great portion of the work that we perform in this field revolves around the application and implications of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations. It is in this context that we developed expertise, vast knowledge and understanding of the various components of the PFMA. As part of the legal advisory services our firm: - reviewed the Governance Framework of entities listed under Schedules 3A and 3B of the Public Finance Management Act;
- advised the Gauteng Department of Public Transport, Roads and Works, in particular the accounting officer on the legal and other implications arising out of the PPP arrangement on the Gautrain Rapid Rail Project ("Gautrain");
- monitored the development of Gautrain project to ensure compliance with Treasury approval conditions as envisaged by the PPP arrangement;
- advised on the development of the Monorail Project in collaboration with an overseas partner;
- participated the construction of the now complete Pan Africa Taxi and Retail centre;
- analysed the various Public Private Partnership Agreements concluded by SANRAL on the construction, operation and maintenance of National Toll Roads in South Africa; and
- participated on the roll out of the Integrated and Interoperable Fare Management Systems.
